Sonia Williams, MDes, PCgHe
With a talent for building a culture of learning and innovation obtained at senior positions, over the past 16 years. Sonia has worked within various senior capacities, within HE education; as a Lecturer, Assessor and Marketing Programme Leader on interdisciplinary degree courses. In addition to her tenure in the corporate industry within; retail operations and management, production, e-commerce, marketing, and digital consultancy.
This combination and wealth of experience, within both academia and the private sector has provided invaluable experience and exposure, and the birth of The Duchy Foundation aimed at bridging the gap in youth vocational training & female focused entrepreneurship support within business, creative industries and sports.
Sonia is passionate about improving the efficacy of HE education, and to widen the stakeholder engagement between business innovation and education policy that supports targeted missions for societal programmes such as United Nations’ SDG goals.

Dr. Allyson Salinger Ferrante
Dr. Ferrante teaches courses on pan-Caribbean literature, postcolonial literature and theory, and multicultural British literature. She is also the coordinator of BSU's Latin American and Caribbean Studies program and is delighted to teach its introductory interdisciplinary course, manage the minor, and organize events bringing the region to campus, helping to foster the next generation of Latin American and Caribbean scholars.
She teaches texts from the pan-Caribbean in its linguistic diversity and is a proud proponent of studying abroad to make one's scholarship and perspective as global as possible. Her research focuses on literary articulations of creolization that confound and work to dismantle the psychological remnants of colonialism.

Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Education
Dr. Heather Cateau
Dr. Cateau is a Senior Lecturer in Caribbean History at The University of The West Indies’ St. Augustine Campus and the current Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education.
She has held Visiting Fellowships at the University of Iowa and the University of Cambridge.
