The Emancipation Project
One in four women will experience domestic violence at some point in her life, with the odds so high many of us will come to know someone who has been affected.
Women from (BAMER) minority ethnic groups may face additional blocks to accessing support; due to discrimination, language barriers, cultural stigmatisations or fears surrounding immigration status.
The Emancipation Project is a community-based initiative to support those who have experienced violence and abuse.
The path to emancipating oneself can be turbulent, but Empowerment is at the core of what we stand for. Our efforts are focused on providing tangible support and solutions to women looking to rebuild their lives, and overcome the many different forms of gender-based violence.
We are proud to fundraise and lend our expertise to support women with free business support, Income-Generating Activity workshops, access to specialist BAMER therapists or just a Safe Space room, if you need it.
