We are a foundation dedicated to transforming the prospects of women, young people and adults facing disadvantage, through practical education, vocational training and supported progression — helping people build the confidence, skills and connections they need to move forward, and helping foster carers navigate the barriers they face along the way.
About
Our mission is to support people facing social or economic disadvantage by creating practical, targeted opportunities for skills development, confidence-building and progression. Through hands-on training and structured support, we aim to help balance the scales — turning the value that reinvestment in people can offer into something both inclusive and sustainable.
Our work is shaped by direct experience: years spent trialling community initiatives gave us first-hand evidence of the barriers facing the people we now work with, and that evidence shaped the programmes we deliver today.
We focus our efforts on the people who most often get left behind:

Women, young people and adults facing social or economic disadvantage

People who are unemployed, under-employed, isolated, or lacking confidence or structured support

Foster carers and prospective foster carers facing barriers connected to fostering, housing and family stability
Through practical training, mentoring, community education and skills-based volunteering, we help people build employability, confidence and connection — and we help connect community organisations with the volunteers and support they need.
We're aware we can't achieve all our goals alone. We work alongside community organisations, local authorities and others who share our aims, and we're currently based in London with plans to grow our reach further.
